2 cups - Broken wheat
1 ½ cups - Sugar
4-5 cups - Water
3 tbsp - Ghee
1 tbsp - Oil
10-20 - Raisins
3-4 - Cardamom pieces
Few almonds, cashew, and pistachio

Heat the ghee and oil in a non-stick kadhai, then sauté cardamom pieces for one minute.

Remove cardamom, add broken wheat to kadhai with oil and ghee, mix well.

Cook the cracked wheat over low heat for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.

Keep stirring consistently to prevent the laapsi from sticking to the kadhai's bottom.

Add water, stir, and cook until boiling. Mix in sugar and cook till golden brown.

Stir and cook the broken wheat until done. Keep stirring until ghee separates (5-8 minutes).

Top with chopped almonds, cashews, pistachios, and cardamom pieces for garnish. Serve hot.
